This was our first cruise so we opted for eastern Caribbean,we got to the ship at port Canaveral at 1.00pm Saturday 10 May we dropped off luggage at port side, parked & were in our stateroom by 2.15pm.We toured ship to get our bearings ordered a bottle of wine this was delivered to our cabin within 15 mins, sat on balcony deck 6 and watched the world go by.
We opted for second sitting on the Golden dining room the food was of good standard and as much as you liked from the menu.
After dinner we took to watch the show in the Amber Palace, as the show was geared up for the USA clientèle's it was not to our liking but still professionally done.First port of call was Nassau so we toured island with 9 other people from Alabama who were good fun & sociable, the island was very poor apart from Paradise Island & Atlantis hotel, so if i go back i will give this amiss.Second island was the St Thomas which was a lot more civilized we just did our own thing.
Third island was St Maarten, sorry but not quite our scene.Food on board the Red Sail Sunset was varied and plenty of choice from salads to hot buffet and carvery, 24 hour pizzas, ice cream ,ice cold drinks & coffee etc.The staff on board could not do enough for you from waiters to cabin attendants, only gripe being the mandatory 15% tip to all drinks. Would i go on another Carnival cruise i am already on the internet looking for next year
