Just got back from a cruise around the Med and first stop was Dubrovnik and quite a few of the shops we went into only took the Kuna and although the coffee shop we went to took euros change was given in Kuna

Euro is accepted everywhere. you should visit the old town - it is amazing - we went there twice on cruises and have spent many weekends there since because it is so fabukous - you will probably be tendered into the old town - take the boat from the harbour to Kavtak - we loved it.

I visited Dubrovnik last week on Fred Olsen Braemar and I agree that the Euro is widely accepted in the town centre. However, the bars in the port area would only accept the Kuna. The traffic was horrendous, the round trip on the shuttle bus from the port to the city centre took 1 hour 30 minutes. An interesting city, just make sure you give yourself plenty of time to enjoy it. Happy cruising, Jan

Euros are widely accepted, but have some small denomination notes/coins with you. Dubrovnik is a fairly compact walled medieval city that was restored around 10 years ago after the bombing. A walk around the city and the walls is quite interesting
